The Seal Mother
The Seal Mother is a feature film that explores the intersection of motherhood and the fragile ecosystems of the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe.
It tells the story of Kaja, a 42-year-old biologist working at a seal sanctuary in Poland, who longs to become a mother and chooses to pursue motherhood through IVF.
Blending an intimate human experience with the reality of endangered seal populations, the film reflects on vulnerability, care, and the shifting balance between humans and nature.
